Directors

VIDEO DIRECTOR
Leader of the weekend video team including the Technical Director, Assistant Director, CG Operators and Camera Operators; directs and oversees all camera direction, switching of cameras, graphics and video playback. Responsible for everything that is shown on the video screens during the weekend worship services.

Supervisor: Producer

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading weekend video team and assist in the oversight and troubleshooting of video equipment.
  • Calling and directing all camera operators, graphics and video playback.
  • Reviewing game film with video team between services, to improve next service.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR (TD)
Responsible for executing all cuts, dissolves, graphics and video playback (through the video switcher) as directed by the Video Director. Assumes the responsibilities of the Video Director in their absence.

Supervisor: Video Director

Responsibilities Include:

  • Executing all commands given by the Video Director

In the absence of a Video Director:

  • Leading weekend video team and oversight of video equipment.
  • Calling and directing all camera operators, graphics and video playback.
  • Executing all transitions of camera shots, graphics and video playback.
  • Reviewing game film with video team between services, to improve next service.

In the absence of a Assistant Director:

  • Controlling video recorder(s) for archiving of services.
  • Adjusting cameras for white balance, color and lighting changes.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (AD)
Assists the Video Director and/or Technical Director (TD) of upcoming service elements; announcing cues, transitions, song sections (intros, solos, breaks, leads), etc. Monitors and adjusts iris/white balance of cameras equipped with camera controlled units (CCUs). Assists in preparing cameras for pre-determined shots.

Supervisor: Video Director

Responsibilities Include:

  • Controlling video recorder for archiving of services.
  • Adjusting cameras for white balance, color and lighting changes.
  • Announcing cues, transitions, song sections (intros, solos, breaks, leads), etc. for Director(s).
  • Assisting and facilitating communication between Producer and Director(s).
  • Troubleshooting control room issues with Director(s).
